Part-time Researcher to Assist with Projects at Price
Associates, Inc (PAI)
Duties
Data management and statistical analysis of data collected
on human exposure to occupational and environmental agents,
medical/epidemiological data obtained from published scientific articles, and
disease incidence/mortality data obtained from government and other public
databases. Conduct literature searches and critical reviews of
scientific articles.
Qualifications
Facility with Web searches, downloading data, and
manipulating electronic data files. Experience with Excel or similar
spreadsheet software; also experience with menu-driven statistical analysis
software and statistical programming languages (e.g., R, SAS, Gauss). Education
should include courses in calculus, matrix algebra, basic statistics, and the
biological sciences or toxicology.
Additional Information
PAI office location is Bar Harbor, Maine; working from an
off-site location is acceptable. Experience working through an internet
connection to a remote computer is essential.
Degree levels/salary
Undergraduate and graduate students plus all degree levels
will be considered. Hourly rate will be commensurate with education, experience,
training, and capabilities.
